Stephen King Questions Emmy Snub of Taylor Sheridan’s Landman

Stephen King has questioned why Landman has not received Emmy nominations.

The contemporary Western series was created by Taylor Sheridan and streams on Paramount+.

King singled out lead actor Billy Bob Thornton and director Stephen Kay as deserving recognition.

The show has had Critics Choice and Golden Globe nominations for Thornton’s performance, but no Emmy nominations through its first two seasons.

Sheridan’s other television series have also missed out on major Emmy categories, though some received nominations for stunts or production design.

Sheridan has said that winning Emmys is not his goal; he wants his shows to move, entertain and excite viewers.

Landman Season 3 has begun production, while Sheridan is set to leave for NBCUniversal at the beginning of 2029.
