Tyler McCumber Takes Two-Stroke Penalty at WA PGA Championship

Former PGA Tour player Tyler McCumber was competing in the WA PGA Championship, part of the PGA Tour of Australasia.

During the third round, he moved his ball marker aside so playing partner Todd Sinnott could putt.

McCumber was unsure whether he had moved the marker back before playing his ball.

Tournament officials reviewed video, but it did not clearly show what happened.

McCumber chose to take a two-stroke penalty for possibly playing from the wrong place.

The penalty contributed to a four-over-par round of 76, and he finished tied for 26th after the final round.

Justin Warren won the tournament at 11 under par.

We checked the vision and the vision was a bit inconclusive. But Tyler in himself was unsure and didn't feel right so he opted to take a two-stroke penalty, which you can do there for playing from the wrong place and not returning his ball-marker.
