St Kilda beat Collingwood by two points in Dal Santo’s final game

St Kilda beat Collingwood 39-37 in an Australian rules football match in the AFLW, Australia’s women’s league.

The win was St Kilda’s first of the season and ended an 11-match losing streak.

The Saints had lost their first eight games, and the previous week they scored just one point, matching the league’s lowest score.

Coach Nick Dal Santo had announced he would leave the role and led the team for the final time against Collingwood.

St Kilda fell behind by 12 points at half-time, then kicked four goals in the third quarter to take the lead.

Collingwood cut the gap to two points late in the game, but the Saints held on.

St Kilda said it would begin an independent review of its AFLW program.
