Bethell and Archer return for England’s Australia white-ball tour

Bethell and Archer return for England’s Australia white-ball tour

England named Jacob Bethell and Jofra Archer in its squads for the Australia tour in November, which includes one-day and T20 international matches.

Bethell is fit again after a knee injury sustained against India in July kept him out of later series.

Archer returns after being rested for the tri-series in Pakistan.

Eddie Jack and Thomas Rew have earned their first T20 call-ups, while 18-year-old Rew captained England’s under-19 team to the World Cup final in February.

Phil Salt also returns after a quad injury, and Luke Wood is recalled to the T20 squad.

Jos Buttler remains sidelined as he recovers from hamstring surgery, while Saqib Mahmood misses out with a knee injury.

The tour starts with a warm-up match in Perth on 7 November, followed by three ODIs and five T20 internationals, ending in Canberra on 2 December.
