Russia says it struck a Ukrainian logistics center and cargo ship

Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces struck a logistics center in Ternovka, in Ukraine’s Mykolaiv region, and a dry cargo ship at sea.

The ministry said the center stored military and dual-use goods intended for the Ukrainian army.

It said the ship was carrying military goods to the port of Chernomorsk.

These are claims by Russia’s Defense Ministry; the reports provide no independent confirmation of the strikes or their effects.

The targets matter because logistics centers and cargo ships can be used to move supplies for military forces.

The reports do not say what happens next.
