More than 100 farmers, truck drivers and merchants protested rising costs in Italy’s Foggia province.
They gathered on the SS16 road between Foggia and San Severo, near the Green Park service station.
Their complaints include high fuel prices and rising farm expenses, such as the cost of fertilizer.
The demonstration temporarily blocked traffic on the road.
Police monitored the protest, and other gatherings were taking place in parts of the province.
Organizers described the protest as peaceful and invited residents to join them in the coming days.
