A joint bank account may not avoid inheritance procedures in Brazil
A joint bank account can make it easier for family members to manage money while everyone is alive.
But being able to use the account does not prove that all the money belongs to each account holder.
After a holder dies, their share may have to go through legal inheritance procedures, and banks may limit access.
The rules can vary by bank, so a joint account does not automatically transfer the money.
