DHL plans dedicated semiconductor warehouse in Gujarat

DHL plans to build a warehouse for semiconductor-related goods in Dholera, Gujarat.

It will be the company’s first dedicated semiconductor warehouse in India.

The site is near Tata Electronics’ chip factory, which is expected to begin operating in 2027.

DHL plans an initial investment of about ₹50 crore, with possible further investment by 2030 depending on customer expansion plans.

Semiconductor equipment and materials need careful handling, including controls for dust, temperature, vibration and security.

DHL says it has already adapted trucks to carry sensitive factory equipment, and the facility is part of its wider investment in India.

The warehouse is expected to become operational by August 2027.
