10-year-old girl dies after drowning at water park in Ceará
A 10-year-old girl, Isis Maria Medeiros da Silva, died after drowning at a water park in the interior of Ceará, Brazil, on Sunday morning.
Staff at Oásis Aqua Park treated her at the site and took her to a hospital, but she did not survive.
The park said it learned of the incident on Monday.
It said it was trying to contact the family to offer support.
Isis's school shared a message of condolence for her family, friends and school community.
Her family said her birthday would have been the following Saturday.
