Miau Fest in Mexico City to host Halloween and Day of the Dead events for cats
Miau Fest Michictlán is scheduled for Oct.
31 and Nov.
1 at Huerto Roma Verde in Mexico City.
The free festival will combine cat-themed activities with Halloween and Mexico’s Day of the Dead traditions.
On Saturday, the program includes a costume parade for cats, along with theater and music.
Parade entry costs 100 pesos, and cats must be comfortable around people and not become stressed by the event.
Sunday’s program will remember cats that have died, with a shared memorial space where visitors can place their photographs.
