Three Moscow Airports Handle Flights by Agreement With Authorities

On the evening of October 11, Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports in Moscow were handling arrivals and departures by agreement with government agencies.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency said the measures were taken to ensure flight safety.

Zhukovsky airport was operating without restrictions at 20:43 Moscow time.

Overnight, Russian air defences said they had destroyed 479 Ukrainian drones over Russia.

The reported interceptions included areas near the western border, other Russian regions, Crimea and the Black Sea.

During the day, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said two drones had been destroyed as they approached the capital.

The agency gave no further details about how long the airport arrangements would remain in place.
