Paul Godfrey removed from Order of Ontario advisory council
Paul Godfrey was removed from the council that recommends people for Ontario’s highest civilian honour.
The province said he made false public claims and had a conflict of interest.
Godfrey had accused the premier’s office of linking help with a government contract for a company run by his son to a request for newspaper coverage.
The premier’s office and Postmedia deny the allegation, and the legal claims have not been tested in court.
