Netflix wins exclusive Spain rights to 2030 World Cup

Netflix has secured exclusive rights in Spain to stream all 104 matches of the 2030 men’s World Cup.

The tournament will be co-hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with three opening matches in South America.

The 48-team event marks 100 years since the first World Cup.

Spain’s public broadcaster will show one match free each matchday, including every Spain game, both semifinals and the final.

This arrangement gives viewers free access to key games even though Netflix holds the streaming rights.

The deal’s financial value has not been disclosed.

Spain and Morocco are competing to host the final, which is planned for either Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu or a stadium being built near Casablanca.
