Tanah Abang traders prepare new styles for Ramadan 2027
A seller at Tanah Abang market in Jakarta is preparing new gamis styles for the 2027 Eid season.

The Lepas Landas design has an inner dress and an outer layer that can be worn together or separately, giving buyers different ways to style one set.
The seller says orders for Lepas Landas have reached thousands, with customers in Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia among the main markets.
The set costs about Rp300,000 to Rp400,000, and its details include hand-applied beads.
The seller is also developing Buka Hati, a separate style designed to catch shoppers' attention, but it has not yet been officially launched.
She says she researches comfort, appearance and customer feedback before deciding which designs to produce.
