Officials say Iran can replenish missiles and drones, with Russian help
Unnamed Western officials say Iran has kept its missile and drone factories and can quickly replenish its weapons.
They say Iran remains well-stocked with ballistic missiles and anti-ship weapons, and has enough firepower to retaliate if the United States strikes again.
One official also says Russia is providing Iran with missiles.
The White House disputes the assessment, saying US operations destroyed Iran’s missile production facilities and other military capabilities.
The claims come amid renewed tensions between Washington and Tehran after the United States and Israel fought a war against Iran earlier this year.
A separate report, without cited sources, says the United States recently urged Israel to strike Iran without US forces joining in; it says Washington has since backed off.
The reports do not confirm whether another attack will happen.
Unnamed Western officials told Bloomberg that Iran has preserved its missile and drone factories and can replenish its weapons.
One official said Russia was providing Iran with missiles.
The officials said Iran remained well-stocked with ballistic missiles and anti-ship weapons and could quickly add more.
Their assessment conflicts with statements by US President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that Iran’s military production capacity had been destroyed.
The White House rejected the officials’ assessment, citing US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and conventional military capabilities.
