Two Yongin residents donate money to help people in need

Two residents of Yongin, South Korea, donated money to help people in need in their community.

An anonymous woman in her 80s gave 21.95 million won to the city on October 8.

She asked that it help older people living alone and children in families needing support.

Care worker Lee Sun-hee, 78, donated 3 million won on October 12 to help students continue their studies despite difficult circumstances.

Lee has donated for four years; she gave 10 million won each year from 2023 through 2025.

The donations will support local residents in need through the Gyeonggi Community Chest, which the city says will handle the funds.
