One Nation support slips as voters blame Labor for cost-of-living pressure

A Resolve poll of 2,250 voters in Australia found support for One Nation had fallen by four percentage points since June, to 25 per cent.

The party, led by Pauline Hanson, still had more support than the Coalition, on 23 per cent, while Labor was on 29 per cent.

Nearly half of those surveyed, 46 per cent, said federal Labor was mainly responsible for cost-of-living pressure.

Another 26 per cent blamed global factors, including wars in Iran and Ukraine, and 4 per cent blamed the Reserve Bank.

Hanson’s performance and likeability ratings also fell, although she remained ahead of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Angus Taylor on performance ratings.

The poll’s movements for party support were within its 2.1-point margin of error, while the drop in Hanson’s performance rating was described as statistically significant.

The survey also found that fewer voters expected One Nation to win the next election, while 32 per cent expected Labor to win.
