WWII strategy game Battleplan launches with 11 Western Front missions
Battleplan is a new real-time strategy game set on the Western Front during World War II.
It was made by Foolish Mortals Games and launched on Steam.
Instead of controlling individual units directly, players draw plans on a map based on geographical survey data.
The game’s troops, tanks, aircraft and artillery then try to carry out those plans.
Players can organize their forces, adjust the chain of command, and plan attacks, withdrawals, reconnaissance and other operations.
The launch version includes 11 historical missions, from the D-Day landings to Operation Varsity, as well as two tutorial levels.
The developers say they plan to add updates, improvements and other theatres of war after launch.
