Miguel Rojas expected to be available for Dodgers in NLCS

Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas is expected to be available for the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

He left Game 3 of the National League Division Series with a back injury and could not play in Game 4.

Rojas received a cortisone injection, which helped loosen the affected area.

The Dodgers often used him against left-handed pitchers this season, and he hit .293 against them.

Milwaukee is expected to start right-handed pitchers in the first two games, which may limit Rojas’s chances to start.

He could still be used as a pinch-hitter against left-handed relievers.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the team plans to carry 13 position players and 13 pitchers, compared with 14 position players and 12 pitchers in the previous series.

The Dodgers are also considering a reliever who can pitch two or three innings, while Roberts has not decided whether Shohei Ohtani will move back to the No.

2 spot in the lineup.
