Test finds unwanted residues in 11 of 12 curry pastes

A Swiss consumer magazine tested 12 curry pastes and found unwanted residues in 11 of them.

Green pastes were especially likely to contain pesticides, and one product had two insecticides banned in the EU.

The amounts found were below the limits used in the test, so a finding does not automatically mean a product is dangerous.

Coop said it would remove the most heavily contaminated paste from its range.
