Sam Wood’s Melbourne property plans uncertain after arrest on domestic violence charges

Sam Wood’s Melbourne property plans uncertain after arrest on domestic violence charges

Sam Wood remains in jail in Queensland after a court refused him bail over alleged domestic violence offences involving his wife, Snezana.

The allegations relate to an incident at the couple’s holiday accommodation in Noosa on October 3.

Prosecutors told the bail hearing that Wood assaulted and choked Snezana; his lawyer said Wood denies assaulting or strangling her.

The charges have not been proven, and Wood is presumed innocent.

The couple’s plans for two Melbourne properties are now uncertain.

They had reportedly been preparing to sell a seven-bedroom Brighton home bought for $7.15 million, while they were living in a separate property valued at $6 million when he was arrested.

Wood’s lawyer has said he intends to apply for bail in Queensland’s Supreme Court.
