Report says Guilfoyle asked Trump supporter to pay $100,000 in card debt

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the US ambassador to Greece and Donald Trump Jr.’s former fiancée, allegedly asked Trump supporter Eric Deters to pay $100,000 toward her credit card debt.

The request was reportedly made in Signal messages shortly before her Senate confirmation hearing in July 2025.

Deters, a businessman and former political candidate, says he did not send the money.

He had sought Guilfoyle’s help with tax and legal matters, and she reportedly offered to use her government contacts on his behalf.

The claims raise concerns about whether private payments were linked to political access.

The report says Guilfoyle contacted officials about Deters’ tax dispute, though an FBI spokesperson denied she intervened with FBI chief Kash Patel.

Democrats have called for an investigation, while Vice President JD Vance said the situation did not look good; Secretary of State Marco Rubio had not given a detailed response.
