Timbiriche series raises questions about a real-life executive behind a character

A new series about Timbiriche shows an executive named Román Ferrelle helping shape the group.

Some viewers think he may be based on former Televisa executive Víctor Hugo O’Farrill.

The series’ creators have not confirmed that link.

The distinction matters because the show is fiction inspired by real events, not a literal account of every person or scene.
