Leclerc predicts lower fuel prices in France in November
Michel-Édouard Leclerc, head of the E.Leclerc retail group, says fuel prices in France should fall in November.
The government has announced plans to release 10 million barrels of diesel from the country’s strategic reserves.
Fuel distributors would be able to buy the stocks at prices from before the oil crisis.
Leclerc said the plan could bring lower prices at the pump if it is carried out as proposed.
He also said putting the process in place would be complex.
Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu was due to meet fuel distributors on October 12 to explain the details.
