Trento industry group urges continuity on industrial plan through elections
At its annual meeting in Mezzocorona on October 9, Confindustria Trento president Lorenzo Delladio urged politicians to carry out the Trentino 2040 industrial plan.
He said the plan should continue regardless of who governs the province, despite elections scheduled in Italy, the province and Europe over the next three years.
The plan was developed over the past year and presented in the summer.
Delladio also said local businesses struggle to find workers and called for better integration policies so foreign residents can work.
He pointed to housing as another challenge, saying businesses are buying and renovating properties to provide accommodation for workers but need more support.
He described hydrogen and nuclear power as important opportunities for industry, including the possible use of small nuclear reactors.
Confindustria leaders are due to meet provincial assessors in the coming days, with housing expected to be a main topic.
