Man killed while unloading food supplies in Yahukimo
A 46-year-old man from Makassar, South Sulawesi, was killed in Dekai district, Yahukimo, in Papua’s Highland region.
He was unloading food supplies from a truck at a shop complex on Sunday evening.
A witness went inside the shop to arrange the goods and later found him lying on the ground.
He was taken to Dekai Regional General Hospital for medical care.
Police said they suspect members of the Kodap XVI Yahukimo armed group may have been involved.
That suspicion is still being investigated, and the case remains open.
