Study finds 28.3% of Brazilian students screened had high blood pressure
Researchers checked the blood pressure of 6,092 students in three Brazilian states.
About 28 in every 100 had readings in the range linked to high blood pressure.
The share was higher among students with obesity, but the results are only a screening and do not confirm a diagnosis.
Follow-up checks are needed to know whether a student has hypertension.
