DP World Tour says LIV sign-ups will not retain membership from 2027
The DP World Tour says players who sign up to LIV Golf’s relaunched series in 2027 will not be able to keep membership in the DP World Tour.
In earlier years, some LIV players could compete in certain DP World Tour events under conditional releases and retain membership.
From 2027, players will have to disclose their plans for consideration when membership is decided.
Only DP World Tour members can be selected for Europe’s Ryder Cup team.
LIV is preparing to restart in 2027 after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund withdrew its backing, and it has announced a new partner offering up to $300 million.
Some current DP World Tour members who played in LIV events have until 16 November to decide whether to sign up for the relaunched series.
The tour says players must follow its rules if they want membership.
