Anthony Henry Says Neck Surgery Could Keep Him Out for Six Months

Anthony Henry, who wrestles for AEW and its sister promotion Ring of Honor, says he needs neck surgery.

He is one half of the WorkHorsemen tag team with JD Drake.

Henry said a herniated disc is on his spinal cord, making the injury especially concerning.

He estimates recovery will take between three and six months.

He has not wrestled since July.

Henry has also dealt with other injuries, including a torn bicep and a broken jaw.

He says he plans to return to the ring, but has not given a specific return date.

What people are saying

My neck is kinda screwed. I will need surgery. The herniated disc is on the spinal cord itself, which makes this even more scary. Recovery is anywhere from 3-6 months.

With that being said, I plan on returning a new, better, stronger, and more motivated version of myself. Thank you to @AEW and the medical staff for taking such good care of me throughout all of this. I can't wait to be back in an AEW again ASAP!
