Critica defines first higher-confidence resource at Jupiter rare earths project
Critica has defined a higher-confidence portion of its Jupiter rare earths deposit in Western Australia.
The portion contains 160 million tonnes, classified as an Indicated Mineral Resource, at an average grade of 1,700 parts per million total rare earth oxides.
Jupiter’s total resource is 1.7 billion tonnes, with the remaining 1.5 billion tonnes classified as Inferred, a lower-confidence category.
The higher-confidence estimate follows closer-spaced drilling across part of the deposit.
About a quarter of the indicated rare earth oxides are magnet materials, including neodymium and praseodymium.
Critica has also produced rare earth carbonate and oxide samples for evaluation, but it has not secured binding offtake or strategic investment agreements.
The company says a scoping study on Jupiter will be released shortly.
Critica has reported the first Indicated Mineral Resource at its Jupiter rare earths project in Western Australia.
Independent consultant SRK defined 160 million tonnes at 1,700 parts per million total rare earth oxides in the higher-confidence category.
Jupiter’s updated total resource is 1.7 billion tonnes at 1,700 parts per million, with the remaining 1.5 billion tonnes classified as Inferred.
The new classification follows 145 aircore holes drilled across about 3.3 square kilometres of the project.
Critica says a scoping study is due shortly, while processing and product evaluation work continues.
- Who
- Critica, with the resource defined by independent consultant SRK.
- What
- Jupiter received its first Indicated Mineral Resource: 160 million tonnes at 1,700 parts per million total rare earth oxides.
- When
- 12 October 2026.
- Where
- The Jupiter deposit in Western Australia, part of Critica’s wholly owned Brothers project.
- Why
- Targeted infill drilling increased confidence in geological and grade continuity in the selected area.
This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
The delivery of Jupiter’s first Indicated Mineral Resource is an important milestone for the Project and demonstrates the effectiveness of the targeted infill drilling completed over the past year.
