GOP groups pull planned spending from two vulnerable House districts

Two Republican super PACs are redirecting planned spending from districts held by Reps.

Tom Kean of New Jersey and Marianette Miller-Meeks of Iowa.

The groups are MAGA Inc., aligned with President Donald Trump, and the Congressional Leadership Fund, which is aligned with House GOP leaders.

The districts are considered difficult for Republicans to hold, and recent polling has raised concerns about both incumbents’ re-election chances.

Kean is facing Democrat Rebecca Bennett, while Miller-Meeks is running against Christina Bohannan.

Miller-Meeks won her 2024 race by about 800 votes, and Kean won re-election by just over 5%.

Republicans are shifting money to other House races as they try to keep control of the House, where projections cited in the story give Democrats an edge.

MAGA Inc.

is also focusing on key Senate contests in Ohio, Alaska and Iowa to help Republicans keep their Senate majority.

The groups plan to make further spending moves in the final weeks before Election Day.
