Turkish authorities carried out operations in 14 provinces as part of efforts to combat organized crime.

The Interior Ministry said legal proceedings were initiated against 195 suspects.

Authorities said the suspects were believed to have formed or joined armed groups, used threats or force to obtain money, or traded weapons to support criminal groups.

The operations were coordinated by the police department responsible for organized crime and public prosecutors.

Officials said they seized 41 handguns, 16 shotguns, five blank-firing guns and two long-barrelled firearms, along with ammunition, magazines and gun parts.
