Reto Müller appointed to Graubündner Kantonalbank board

Graubünden’s government appointed Reto Müller to the cantonal bank’s board.

The board belongs to Graubündner Kantonalbank, based in the Swiss canton of Graubünden.

Müller will replace Christoph Caviezel, who is leaving after three terms because of a term limit.

Müller’s four-year term is set to begin on 1 July 2027 and end on 30 June 2031.

He spent more than 30 years in leadership roles at Credit Suisse and UBS, most recently as UBS Switzerland’s risk chief until January 2026.

The government also named Michèle Sutter-Rüdisser vice-president and extended her board mandate by four years.

She has served on the board since 2021 and is an economics professor at the University of St. Gallen.

Müller’s appointment still needs approval from Switzerland’s financial regulator, Finma.
