Shakur Stevenson defeats Teofimo Lopez to win WBO junior welterweight title

Shakur Stevenson defeated Teofimo Lopez Jr. by unanimous decision to win the WBO junior welterweight title.

The fight was in the 140-pound division.

Boxing has 17 weight classes and four major organizations that award world titles.

Each organization can have champions in the same division, and interim or secondary belts can add to the list.

That makes it difficult to track who holds each title.

The updated list names the champions across the divisions and notes some vacant, interim and secondary titles.

No further action or next fight is specified.
