Sanju Samson matches Kohli’s record with 21-ball T20I fifty against West Indies

Samson scored 50 runs in just 21 balls against the West Indies.

That matched Virat Kohli’s record for the fastest fifty by an Indian against them in a T20 international.

Samson’s quick start helped India reach 79 runs for one wicket in the first six overs, a record powerplay score for India against the West Indies in T20Is.

Fast scoring can give a team a strong start, but the match was still underway.
