Moscow Exchange to move Samolet bonds to lower listing tier
The Moscow Exchange will move 15 bond issues from property group Samolet to its third listing tier on October 13.
Eleven issues are currently in the first tier and four are in the second.
The exchange said Samolet does not meet the requirement for credit ratings from at least two agencies.
The first two tiers form the exchange’s quotation list, while the third tier is outside it and has different requirements.
On October 8, rating agency ACRA lowered Samolet’s rating and the ratings on its bonds to BBB(RU), with a negative outlook.
ACRA cited a weaker assessment of the company’s finances, including its debt burden, ability to cover interest payments, liquidity and profitability.
The change matters because the exchange’s listing tiers reflect different levels of issuer reliability and standards for securities.
