Rosatom says Western projects’ share of its portfolio is declining

Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom says Western projects make up a smaller share of its foreign project portfolio than before.

CEO Alexey Likhachev said the actual number of those projects has not changed.

He described Western countries’ projects as projects in countries Russia considers unfriendly.

Likhachev said Rosatom is ready for dialogue with people who favor pragmatic ties.

He referred to President Vladimir Putin’s distinction between unfriendly rulers and the people of those countries.

The statement does not specify which projects are involved or how the portfolio’s share has changed.

It also does not say what will happen next.
