Reuteler adjusts to Arsenal after limited playing time
Géraldine Reuteler is an important player for Switzerland but has had little playing time since joining Arsenal in London.
The 27-year-old midfielder moved from Frankfurt after eight years there, following a strong performance at the European Championship hosted by Switzerland.
She has played only 10 minutes in Arsenal’s first 10 games and was left out of the squad twice early in the season.
Reuteler says the club environment is bigger and the football faster and more intense than she was used to.
She is also glad that her Switzerland teammate and friend Nadine Riesen is in London, playing for West Ham.
Reuteler is now with the Swiss national team in Sion for the return match against Israel.
Switzerland is aiming to secure a place in the next playoff round.
