LG CNS and KDDI team up on AI and digital projects in Asia-Pacific

LG CNS and Japan’s KDDI agreed to explore digital projects across Asia-Pacific through a memorandum of understanding.

LG CNS brings expertise in AI and digital transformation, while KDDI contributes telecommunications infrastructure and a global network.

They will look for joint business opportunities in AI, smart cities, telecommunications and systems management.

The companies may develop AI services for local businesses and explore using robots to automate work in manufacturing, logistics and retail.

Their smart-city plans combine LG CNS’s systems with KDDI’s network technology, including for traffic and city operations.

Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and China are initial target markets, and the partners are forming a working group to develop specific business plans.
