Deliveroo warns riders speeding on illegal e-bikes could lose access to work

Deliveroo plans to use technology to spot riders travelling faster than a legal e-bike should.

It may contact riders about their bikes and block them from future work.

The company also wants the Government to ban unsafe conversion kits, which can make bikes more powerful or faster than the rules allow.

Unsafe batteries and equipment can also cause fires, so the issue affects public safety as well as delivery work.
