Sega to sell smaller Sonic figure containing his “DNA” for ¥3.3 million
Sega is making a smaller figure of Sonic the Hedgehog that contains what it calls the character’s “DNA.”
The figure is based on a life-size statue revealed earlier this year and displayed at the Sega store in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Until now, seeing the statue meant travelling to Tokyo.
The smaller figure is available to pre-order for ¥3.3 million, about US$20,000 or £16,000.
That price makes it a costly collectible, rather than an ordinary toy.
The figure gives fans a way to own a version of the unusual statue without visiting the store.
The source does not say when orders will ship.
