O’Neill condemns tennis ball protest as Celtic fan-club tensions grow

Martin O’Neill said a protest against Celtic shareholder Dermot Desmond was wrong.

The protest involved tennis balls thrown at Desmond during a golf event.

Tensions between some fans and the club’s leaders have also led the Green Brigade to announce a boycott of home matches.

O’Neill said the conflict affects players and that winning matches could help bring people together.
