Nelson postponed a Telugu film to make Jailer 2 with Rajinikanth

Nelson Dilipkumar first thought the story of Jailer had already been fully told.

Rajinikanth said the first film’s ending gave them ideas for a sequel.

Nelson later agreed and postponed a Telugu film commitment to work on Jailer 2.

The sequel is set to be released in theatres on October 16.
