Trump campaigns in Tennessee, touting investment and discussing Iran

President Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Clarksville, Tennessee, on Saturday ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.

He campaigned for Republican Sen.

Bill Hagerty and gubernatorial candidate Marsha Blackburn.

Trump promoted Korea Zinc’s planned $6.6 billion investment in the state, which is expected to create 740 jobs.

The project includes a minerals smelter in Clarksville and reopening a former mine in Gordonsville.

The minerals are intended for use in semiconductors, defense technology and advanced manufacturing.

Trump also spoke about Iran, claiming its military had suffered extensive damage after U.S. operations.

He joked about naming the Strait of Hormuz the “Trump Strait” and suggested an ocean might be called the “Trump Ocean,” but announced no formal renaming plans.
