Musk has spent about $366 million on 2026 US midterm elections
Elon Musk has spent about $366 million on the 2026 US midterm elections, which are scheduled for November.
Much of the money has gone to groups supporting Republican candidates for the Senate and to Musk’s own America PAC.
The elections will decide which party controls Congress, and Democrats have improved their chances of winning back the House and Senate.
Musk also gave $10 million to a group supporting Republican Ken Paxton in Texas’s Senate race.
His political spending is quieter than in the 2024 election cycle, with fewer public posts about candidates and a focus on campaign advertising and voter outreach.
If Democrats gain control of the House, they have said they want to investigate Musk’s government contracts and his former role leading the Department of Government Efficiency.
Musk’s spending is a major source of funding for Republican candidates and groups in this year’s races.
