Quebec rental manager grows from four properties to more than 500
Samuel Sévigny and five friends began investing in rental properties in Quebec in 2016.
They opened their first cabin in 2019 and had four properties they owned and managed by 2022.
After struggling to find a professional manager for their properties, they began managing rentals for neighbors who asked for help.
They incorporated their company, Chaletô, in 2022, when it was managing 10 properties.
Four years later, it manages more than 500 cabins and condos.
The company’s growth reflects demand from property owners who want to hand over guest and rental operations.
Sévigny says managing many properties also lets the business use tools and negotiate industry relationships more effectively than an individual host can.
