European shares rise as concerns over geopolitical risks ease
European stock markets ended the day higher.
Investors were more hopeful that geopolitical risks could ease, and bond selling put less pressure on markets.
The gains came as UNCTAD warned that global economic growth is expected to slow to 2.6% this year.
Germany also reported that corporate insolvencies reached their highest monthly level in 13 years in July.
