F Village partners with AI travel platform to attract overseas visitors
Fighters Sports & Entertainment, the operator of Hokkaido Ballpark F Village in Japan, has formed a capital and business partnership with Takanawa Travel.
The Iceland-based company runs TripToJapan.com, an online travel platform that lets customers book accommodation, transport and activities.
The partners want travellers to include F Village in their plans while arranging their trips to Japan.
Opened in March 2023, F Village is a 32-hectare complex in Hokkaido centred on Es Con Field, the 35,000-seat home of the Nippon-Ham Fighters baseball team.
The operator says about 36,000 international visitors came to the complex last year, roughly twice the previous year's number.
Takanawa Travel says it combines AI technology with support from local experts.
The companies have not disclosed the partnership's financial terms, and they plan to work on attracting travellers, improving visitor itineraries and developing joint projects.
Takanawa Travel's CEO said a first task is to work with well-known US baseball influencers to raise F Village's profile among North American travellers.

What people are saying
Through TripToJapan.com, which has a strong presence in the North American market, we can get more overseas travelers to include F Village in their Japan travel itineraries.
Interest among North American travelers in Japanese baseball is already high, but awareness of F Village is still insufficient.
The first task is to collaborate with famous baseball influencers in the United States so they visit in person and encourage their followers to visit too.
