Tushar Deshpande takes hat-trick for Mumbai against Chandigarh

Tushar Deshpande took a hat-trick for Mumbai against Chandigarh on Day 2 of their 2026-27 Ranji Trophy match at Wankhede Stadium.

A hat-trick means dismissing three batters with three consecutive deliveries.

In the 11th over of Chandigarh’s first innings, Deshpande dismissed Arjun Azad, Shivam Bhambri and Dipender Kush in successive balls.

Mumbai had scored 429 in its first innings, and Deshpande took five wickets for 17 runs as Chandigarh was bowled out for 78.

Mumbai then asked Chandigarh to bat again because it had built a first-innings lead of 351 runs.

Before play ended on Day 2, Deshpande took another wicket in Chandigarh’s second innings, leaving the team at one run for one wicket.

He became the sixth Mumbai bowler to take a Ranji Trophy hat-trick; the sources give no later match result.
