Russian strikes kill civilians in Ukraine after Trump announces diesel deal with Moscow

Russian strikes hit residential buildings in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region on October 10.

Ukrainian officials reported different death tolls, ranging from 11 to 15, and said three children were among those killed.

Reports also put the number of wounded between 14 and 16.

The attack came a day after US President Donald Trump announced a deal for Russia to supply diesel, alongside sanctions relief.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the deal, saying it could help Russia fund and continue its war.

The strikes came amid an ongoing war, with Russian bombardments across Ukraine and fighting largely deadlocked along the front line.

Ukrainian and European officials had recently met US negotiators to discuss a proposal to end the war, but no outcome of those talks was reported.
